Types control boards

Bitmain uses different types of control boards in its miners, differing in architecture, appearance, and compatibility with specific models. Below is a brief overview of the board differences:

Xilinx Processor-based Control Board (Xil)

Commonly used in miners: S19, S19 Pro, T19.

Amlogic Processor-based Control Board (Aml)

Commonly used in miners: S19, S19Kpro, S19j, S19j Pro, S19j Pro+, S19 XP, S21, T21.

CVITEK Processor-based Control Board (CV)

Commonly used in miners: S19, S19Kpro, T21.

BeagleBone Control Board (BB)

Commonly used in miners: S19j, S19j Pro.

Control boards are often interchangeable. You can replace a CV board with an AML board - simply install firmware compatible with the miner model and matching the new control board's architecture.
